- Key mechanism movement and overall mechanical function
- Safe adjustments and care techniques you may be able to perform yourself
- Identifying the factors that may be affecting your instrument’s response and performance
- The most appropriate next step, whether that’s a simple adjustment, continued observation, routine maintenance, a visit to a qualified repair technician, or guidance from a private teacher
