1. Refinement Sessions (Virtual Consultations)
Scope of Service:
Refinement Sessions provide expert guidance on flute and piccolo care, adjustment tips, and basic troubleshooting. These are educational in nature and do not include physical repair or in-person services unless otherwise specified.
Guarantee:
We guarantee that the information and guidance provided during your session is accurate and tailored to your instrument and needs at the time of the session.
Refund Policy:
– Full refunds are available for cancellations made 48 hours or more before your scheduled session.
– Cancellations within 24–48 hours will receive a 50% refund or a credit toward a future session.
– No refunds are available for cancellations made within 24 hours of the session or for missed appointments; however, we understand that emergencies happen and will review these situations on a case-by-case basis.
2. Instrument Repair Services (In-Person or Mail-In)
Scope of Work:
Repairs include adjustments, cleaning, pad replacement, and other mechanical work as detailed in your repair estimate.
Warranty:
All repair work includes a 30-day service warranty from the date of completion. The warranty covers issues directly related to the performed service only, not accidental damage, improper handling, or environmental factors (e.g., humidity, temperature changes).
Refund Policy:
– Repair deposits are non-refundable once work has begun.
– If a customer cancels after authorizing the work but before completion, only the labor not yet performed will be refunded (minus a 20% administrative fee).
– No refunds after repairs are completed, but adjustments covered under the service warranty will be performed free of charge during the warranty period.
3. The Flute Refinery Essential Care Kit (Product Sales)
Guarantee:
Each Essential Care Kit is inspected for quality before shipment.

Warranty:
Essential Care Kits are covered by a 30-day quality warranty for defects in materials or assembly. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidental drops, or improper storage.
Refund and Return Policy:
– Unused Essential Care Kits in original packaging may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund (excluding shipping costs).
– Opened or used kits are not eligible for refunds but may be eligible for warranty claims if defective.
– Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to a defective or incorrect item.

• The Flute Refinery is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages beyond the scope of the purchased service or product.
• Shipping costs for mailed-in repairs or returns are the responsibility of the customer unless explicitly stated otherwise.
